Oslo, June 2–6, 2025 – Van Aalst Marine & Offshore was proud to be part of Nor-Shipping 2025, one of the world’s leading maritime exhibitions. Held in Oslo, Norway, this event brought together thousands of professionals from the shipping and offshore industries.
At the Netherlands Pavilion in Hall C, we shared our latest innovations in pneumatic bulk handling systems, designed for safe and efficient cargo transfer in both the cement shipping and offshore oil and gas sectors. Our participation was made possible through the strong support and coordination of NMT–IRO, the Dutch industry association representing maritime suppliers and offshore energy technology. Their work in organizing the NL Pavilion plays a key role in strengthening the international visibility of Dutch innovation.
Focus on Practical, Reliable Technology
With more than 60 years of experience, Van Aalst Marine & Offshore is known for developing smart and dependable systems for dry bulk transfer. At this year’s event, we presented:
- Self-discharging systems for cement carriers – allowing faster, safer, and more efficient unloading without needing onshore equipment.
- CargoMaxx multi-cargo tanks – making it possible to transport both dry and liquid cargo in one system, helping shipowners get more out of every voyage.
- Bulk handling systems for offshore support vessels (OSVs) – built to handle cement and other materials safely, even in harsh offshore conditions.
These systems are used on new ships under construction, as well as existing vessels being upgraded with more modern and efficient equipment.
Meeting the Industry Face-to-Face
Our team member Jeroen van Lakerveld was on-site in Oslo to speak directly with shipowners, engineers, and industry partners. He answered questions, discussed upcoming projects, and explained how our systems help improve daily operations and long-term vessel performance.
“It’s always good to connect directly with the people who use our technology. We’re not just showing products — we’re helping solve real challenges in shipping and offshore logistics.”
— Jeroen van Lakerveld, Van Aalst Marine & Offshore
Looking Ahead
Events like Nor-Shipping help us stay close to the market. They provide direct insight into what operators and shipbuilders need — and allow us to share how our systems can support safer, faster, and more efficient operations.
We thank NMT–IRO for their continued support in creating a powerful collective presence for Dutch maritime companies at international events like this one.
For Van Aalst Marine & Offshore, it was a great week of making new connections, exploring future projects, and sharing what makes our bulk handling systems stand out.
